To deepen the study of the Middle Ages through primary sources and academic research, this section offers a selection of reference resources from renowned university and heritage institutions.
Databases, documentary collections, and scientific publications allow users to explore medieval texts, manuscripts, and archives, while also showcasing research already carried out in Normandy, in France, and across Europe.
These resources align with the spirit of the Millenium project, supporting the dissemination of knowledge and fostering networks among research and cultural actors.
- Developed by the University of Caen, Scripta is the Site Caennais de Recherche Informatique et de Publication des Textes Anciens.
The platform provides a database of medieval Norman acts.
- Thecae, also managed by the University of Caen Normandie, offers a corpus of historical inventories of manuscripts and printed books, providing valuable access to the history of collections.
- Caen University Press, through OpenBook, make available a series of dossiers dedicated to medieval history.
