2027 European Kayak Polo Championships

Normandy Switzerland Welcomes Europe

Normandy Switzerland will host the European Championships of kayak polo from September 22 to 26, 2027, in the heart of the Traspy valley. This spectacular discipline, which combines the principles of basketball, water polo, and American football, brings together the best European teams for five days of high-level competition.

The event opens in Thury-Harcourt with an inaugural ceremony gathering more than 450 athletes for a opening show. Matches will follow from Thursday to Saturday, offering a dense and vibrant sports program. Sunday is dedicated to the finals and the medal award ceremony that concludes the event.

On the occasion of this international meeting, the entire territory of Normandy Switzerland mobilizes to promote outdoor sports, local heritage, and Norman identity in connection with Millenium. Throughout the week, competitions will be accompanied by a program of activities including an exhibitors' village, concerts, shows, and many festivities. This programming contributes to the visibility of the area and highlights the cultural and heritage richness of Normandy to athletes, escorts, and visitors.
