The Big Dig, an exciting hands-on archaeological event brought to you by The School of Irish Archaeology. Perfect for families, this lively experience invites young explorers to step into the boots of real archaeologists and enjoy a hands-on experience where children can dig for treasure from the Viking and Norman world. 

Lean from the experts about archaeological methods, excavate an early medieval house and discover how to record your treasure. Try on some armour and spend time at the finds table right in the shadow of one of the monastery founded by William Marshal, also know as The Greatest Knight.
