Ferns, the historic capital of Gaelic Leinster, welcomes its Norman neighbours once again.

The Festival of Ferns is a community-driven event that celebrates the town’s rich medieval heritage as the Ancient Capital of Leinster and the gateway to Norman Wexford. The festival brings history to life through a vibrant programme of activities for all ages.

Visitors enjoy a colourful spectacle parade, family-friendly events, and live music in local pubs. The programme also features the annual dramatic performance, which presents an episode from Ferns’ history in a lively and accessible way, connecting audiences with the town’s stories.
