Norman Fringe Food Events

Community Food Experiences

The programme features a series of fringe food events across the district, connecting history, community and local enterprise. These events take place in smaller towns and villages such as Kilmuckridge, Cahore, Courtown and other locations, bringing food, culture and entertainment directly to local communities.

Community-focused experiences include themed tastings, storytelling suppers and pop-up kitchens hosted in cafés, bistros, gardens and community halls.

Historical Talks & Exhibitions

Talks and exhibitions take place in local libraries, community centres and at Gorey Market House. The North Wexford Historical Society leads engaging sessions exploring Norman surnames such as Pettit, Redmond, Hore and Fitzsimons, as well as land divisions and the lasting Norman legacy in North Wexford.
