Living History weekend within the medieval walls of Kells Priory

Experience a vibrant journey into the past within the remarkable setting of Kells Priory, Ireland’s largest enclosed ecclesiastical site. This special event brings the medieval world to life, recreating the atmosphere, sights, and sounds of Anglo-Norman Kells.

Join knights and ladies, soldiers and crafters and become immersed in the world of Anglo-Norman Kells. Meander through the priory; the burial place of Hugh le Rous, first Anglo-Norman Bishop of Ossory and retrace the footsteps of William Marshal's household knights and the priors who first build the monastery.

The Kells Priory Medieval Re-enactment Weekend is proudly hosted in partnership with Déise Medieval.
