Navigating the flow of words is a touring Franco-British exhibition that highlights the ancient and deep links uniting Normandy and England. Through about ten bilingual panels, it explores in an accessible manner the linguistic exchanges between Norman French and British English, revealing how words, sounds, and ideas have circulated back and forth across the Channel for over a millennium. This exhibition will be accompanied by an original artistic intervention, designed by English artist Emma Dawson Varughese in close collaboration with a French participant. Conceived as a connecting thread between the two countries, this creation will travel from site to site and will engage in dialogue with the panels through a sensitive and contemporary approach. The journey will begin at the MRSH of Caen, where visitors will discover the exhibition and its first artistic staging. The panels will remain accessible there for several days, while the artistic intervention will then be transported to the second venue: the medieval church of All Saints in Dilhorne, a remarkable building whose octagonal bell tower base appears to be made of Caen stone — an architectural symbol of the centuries-old exchanges between the two regions. The exhibition integrates interactive elements, content adapted for students, and a work designed to spark curiosity, understanding, and dialogue between French and British audiences. By bringing together medieval heritage, language, contemporary art, and cultural mediation, this exhibition offers a unique experience: rediscovering a shared history where the Channel has never been a border, but a living link between two cultures. **Cooperation France / United Kingdom**
