New Ross Guitar Festival
Stories, Sounds & Strings

Set in the charming historic town of New Ross in County Wexford, the New Ross Guitar Festival offers visitors a lively and inspiring musical getaway. With its warm welcome and creative spirit, the festival brings together artists and audiences to enjoy the full richness of guitar music, from classical to contemporary styles.

As part of the European Year of the Normans, the 2027 edition highlights a unique cultural connection with Normandy. Guitarists from France join the programme, performing pieces inspired by Norman heritage, while themed visuals and festival spaces immerse visitors in this shared history.

The festival opens with a special historical moment, as reenactors portraying William Marshal and Isabella of Clare bring the town’s medieval past to life, adding a memorable and authentic dimension to the experience.

Partners: Guitar Festival Committee, St Michael’s Theatre, Arts Council, New Ross Municipal District of Wexford County Council.
