A Changing Exhibition

“Norman Nibbles” takes the form of a changing temporary exhibition made up of small information displays placed throughout the tower, encouraging visitors to explore and discover along the way.

The displays are updated weekly, with each new edition highlighting a different aspect of Norman history connected to the city. Presented in bespoke display frames designed for the “Year of the Normans,” the exhibition offers short, engaging insights into a wide range of topics.

Themes featured include urban defences, Norman surnames, Giraldus Cambrensis, the events of 1170 and the Siege of Waterford, as well as Norman weapons and armour, among others.
