Normandy Nights

A lecture series on Norman influence in medieval Europe

Normandy Nights is a varied public programme exploring themes from the exhibition and the lasting influence of the Norman world across Ireland and Europe. The programme brings together leading historians, researchers, and cultural experts to examine topics such as military history, medieval architecture, genealogy, language, politics, and cultural traditions shaped by Norman expansion.

Through a diverse range of formats—including talks, panel discussions, reenactments, spoken word, and music performances—audiences gain new insights into the Norman legacy and its impact on society, heritage, and identity.

The programme is aimed at both general audiences and academic participants, encouraging wider public engagement with medieval history and heritage.
