Normans on the move

A cinematic journey across Europe

“Normans in Motion: a cinematic journey across Europe” revolves around a series of film creation laboratories organized in areas marked by Norman heritage: Jersey, Ireland, and Norway.

Guided by French and local professionals, these workshops bring together 10 to 15 participants in each country to design and produce, within 72 hours, short documentary, fictional, or experimental films focusing on Norman migrations and intercultural encounters.

Each laboratory fosters European cooperation through a cross-mobility framework allowing a participant to join a workshop organized in another partner country.

The highlight of the project, a final laboratory is scheduled for September 2027 as part of the 28th edition of the Off-Courts festival in Trouville-sur-Mer. It gathers participants from all partner territories around a collective creation that highlights this shared heritage.
