Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon in the Middle Ages
11 September 2027
Medieval guided tour
On the occasion of the medieval festivities held each year in Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon, this visit invites you to rediscover an ancient heritage often overlooked, overshadowed by the industrial landscape along the Seine.
The route takes you from the Notre-Dame church to the castle of the Counts of Évreux, then to the feudal mound, meeting the main witnesses of the medieval history of the city. This walk allows for a better understanding of the organization of the territory, the role of Norman lordships, and the conditions of everyday life in the Middle Ages.
Accessible to all, this heritage discovery is experienced as an immersion in local history, at the heart of a site that preserves the traces of several centuries of Norman history.
Visit proposed by Gwenaëlle Dehaye.
