Radio live 1

Once upon a time, there was a series of radio broadcasts about youth engagement in the world.

Journalists Aurélie Charon and Caroline Gillet wanted to go further, to provoke meetings between the protagonists, to "bring them together at the same place, at the same time."

Radio Live was born in the form of a dialogue in front of the audience, gathering young engaged individuals from Gaza, Rwanda, Syria, Lebanon, and also from France. Three of them share the stage and convey, through their personal stories, intimate, familial, artistic, or activist spaces that have been shaken by the violence of conflicts.

Live drawings and filmed testimonies enrich the narrative. The musical accompaniment on stage weaves the thread that connects their trajectories. Moments of life and memory are reinvented each evening.

Hala was born in Latakia. She left Syria after the arrest and assassination of her father, a communist activist and opponent of the Syrian regime. She now lives in Paris and is an actress, filmmaker, and screenwriter. After studying in Beirut, Rayane returned to Hermel in northern Lebanon, where she grew up, to create a secular school, "Free Spirits." Amir was born in a refugee camp in Gaza. He learned French and writes poems in that language. He is now a journalist in France, where part of his family has been able to join him since the last war.

Syria, Lebanon, Palestine... Three countries united in a past that merges. Hala, Rayane, Amir: their words are not just mere statements. A palpable and contagious strength and determination animate them. The hope for tomorrow is grounded in the reality of their achievements.
