Pedal the Past, Explore the Present


The Ring of Hook South West Wexford Cycle Event is a fun, family-friendly cycling experience set in the scenic landscape of South West Wexford. With routes ranging from 2 km and 5 km to 20 km for more experienced cyclists, the event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities.

The routes follow the historic Norman Way, highlighting key sites such as Tintern Abbey and Hook Lighthouse. Along the way, participants enjoy refreshments and activities at selected locations, creating a relaxed and sociable atmosphere.

Organised as part of the Year of the Normans, the event highlights the area’s rich heritage, with European Year of the Normans signage and branding displayed throughout.

Led by New Ross Municipal District, the event brings together local cycling clubs, community groups and nearby visitor attractions.
