Symposium on the History of Cork and Ireland in the Anglo-Norman Period

Series of talks

Cork City and County Archives Service, Cork City Council, and the School of History at University College Cork host a one-day symposium at Cork City Hall as part of the Year of the Normans Millennium 2027.

The programme features talks and presentations by historians from University College Cork and other national and international universities, alongside contributions from additional experts. The symposium explores the history of Cork and Ireland during the Anglo-Norman period, tracing developments from the arrival of the Anglo-Normans in England in 1066 to their presence in Ireland from 1169.
