Erik, son of the Queen of Northumbria and the Viking chief Ragnar, grows up among slaves. Without knowing their blood relation, he becomes the sworn enemy of Einar, Ragnar's legitimate son. Their rivalry intensifies in a violent struggle, soon disrupted by the arrival of Morgane, a captive English princess engaged to Einar, but in love with Erik.

Passions, vengeance, and grand landscapes compose this epic fresco, enhanced by the music of the Norwegian composer Martin Romberg, for an intense rediscovery of this classic adventure film.
