Animated medieval banquet

At the priory of Saint-Philbert-sur-Risle, founded in the 11th century by the Montfort family, a grand medieval banquet takes place in the heart of the priory enclosure, in a historically rich closed space. The tables welcome guests for a friendly moment inspired by the customs of the time, under the sign of cleanliness, moderation, and sharing. Service is organized inside the U shape, while guests are seated outside. The dishes are prepared by the IME de Beaumesnil, which is also in charge of the service. Special attention is paid to the choice of products, in connection with the historical period and the territory. The drinks highlight local specialties, such as cider, but also hypocras and beer. The banquet is punctuated by performances from fire breathers, musicians, and jugglers. Around this highlight, a historical re-enactment camp, consisting of Anglo-Saxon and Viking tents, is set up on the site. A craft market complements the overall experience, evoking the atmosphere of the Norman fairs of the 11th century. Practical information:
