The Archers of Vaudreuil

The Archers of Vaudreuil is a monumental work created by the painter Myriam Zouaghi-Maulet, in collaboration with young artists from the L’Outil en Main – Saint-Cyr-le-Vaudreuil association. 

This painting features Guillaume and Mathilde and pays tribute to the decisive role of the archers of Vaudreuil, companions of William the Conqueror during the Battle of Hastings. The artistic work is carried out with the utmost respect for history and this event. 
As an artist committed to transmission, Myriam Zouaghi-Maulet has been developing workshops and artistic projects in schools for over 15 years.

The exhibition is located at the heart of the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Fontaine-Guérard, in an exceptional setting that highlights this work created for the Millennium and fits within the programming of the venue.
