Arrival of rowing boats from the Viking countries

The Caen rowing club is organizing an event bringing together several Nordic countries around their traditional rowing boats.

On Saturday, the crews will row up the Pegasus canal to the port of Caen, in the heart of the city, in a setting inspired by the great Viking incursions.
On Sunday, the program continues with races between foreign delegations and Norman clubs, in a spirit of sportsmanship and friendliness.

The event is accompanied by a spectacular performance: rowers from the club, including several French champions, will demonstrate by towing one or two persons surfing on a foil from their boat (eight rowers and a helmsman) in the port of Caen.

The whole event creates a encounter that is both sporty, visual, and immersive, bringing together maritime heritage and contemporary performance.
