Europe's largest thirteenth century battle reenactment

This annual festival commemorates the historic Battle of Evesham in 1265, offering visitors a lively and accessible way to explore a pivotal moment in English history.
Come and enjoy a spectacular weekend of medieval action and education in the heart of Evesham and next to the Avon, a riverside Market Town on the edge of the Cotswolds with a big part to play in history.

What to expect:

- More than 900 re-enactors, soldiers, archers and living history performers

- Over 25 knights on war-horses
- Large-scale battle re-enactments featuring infantry, cavalry and archers
- Mass archery demonstrations and a functioning siege engine
- A dedicated tourney arena with demonstrations and entertainment
- A presentation pavilion (ticketed) hosting talks, book signings and live performances

- Over 100 craft stalls (medieval craft tarders and modern artisans)

- 30+ food and drink stalls

Key highlights:
Presentation Pavillion (ticketed) with talks headlined by Professor Alice Roberts and live music from UKQueen and The Medieval Babes
Grand Parade (Saturday, 10am): All performers, Knights on their war horses will be march though the streets of Evesham in full armour and medieval costume, joined by musicians, dancers and our regional Mayors. All in a fantastic parade of colour and noise.
Thirteenth Century Joust / Tourney (Sunday, 10am): a rare opportunity to see early forms of jousting up close
Battle reenactments (Saturday and Sunday): Including all soldiers, archers and mounted Knights.
