A performance and film by Colette Sadler
Carte De Tendre / RELIQUIAE is a new film and performance work by Colette Sadler, created and presented as part of Millenium 2027. The project brings together Pavillon-s / Le fruit intégral (Rouen/Andé) and Stammer Productions LTD (Glasgow).
The work explores a central question: in the context of artificial intelligence and ecological crisis, what does archaeology become in the far future? How are human experiences recorded and remembered? Drawing on science fiction narratives and visual aesthetics inspired by films such as La Jetée by Chris Marker and Metropolis by Fritz Lang, the project imagines a future in which a body and a life are reproduced from an existing human subject, creating a form of living archaeology of human existence.
