Cheerful William
10 January 2027
Gai Guillaume is a call for submissions of historical fiction, ranging from 30 to 120 pages, launched by the cultural association Les Moulins doux d’ici.
The project aims to enrich the literature dedicated to the conquest of England by the lords of William the Bastard, by proposing narratives that diverge from traditional storytelling.
The expected texts will be based on historical facts while allowing for literary creativity, and will adopt a renewed approach to this foundational period. Contributions must be written in French.
Manuscripts should be submitted by clicking directly on this link (https://www.helloasso.com/associations/les-moulins-doux-d-ici/adhesions/gai-guillaume), from January to December 2027.
The writing time is punctuated by the official ceremonies of Gai Guillaume, which will structure the project throughout the year via videoconferences.
The selected texts are intended to be published and showcased on a dedicated website.
