The Dreams of Mathilde is a staged lyrical concert designed to open the festival L’Opéra Conquérant.

In Rouen, during a night of insomnia, Mathilde of Flanders lets her doubts, fears, and questions arise at the dawn of a destiny that surpasses her. Around her, several figures appear: her maid, an abbess, a young noble fiancée, a woman of the people, a widow, a chaplain, a messenger, and then Guillaume himself. Through these real or dreamed encounters, the performance questions the place of women in a world governed by alliances, duty, family, and power.
