Conquest: The Making of Norman England

Beyond the battlefield lies a story of ambition, upheaval and reinvention. Spanning the generations before and after 1066, this exhibition traces the impact of the Norman Conquest. Follow the lives of kings, queens, and rivals, brought vividly to life through extraordinary surviving evidence.

Come face-to-face with history as it unfolded. Through unique original documents and outstanding works of art, brought together for the first time in a generation, explore powerful themes of conquest, resistance, and cultural transformation.

Marking 1,000 years since the birth of William the Conqueror, this exhibition is part of Millenium: 2027, European Year of the Normans.
