This exhibition brings together a series of printed images that highlight the diversity of maritime activities in Normandy: commerce, fishing, boating, tourism, and sports.

Born from research combining drawing and photography throughout the territory, it takes the form of a picture book of boats, revealing the variety of their uses and forms. The whole emphasizes the central role of water and the coastline in Normandy's identity, while echoing contemporary ecological issues.

The project is led by Élise Kastelan, a graphic designer and illustrator. Trained in illustration and editorial design at the École supérieure d'art d'Épinal, then in graphic design at the ÉESAB in Rennes, she continues her journey in Caen within the collective and alternative space La Demeurée. There, she develops an independent activity, as well as a screen printing workshop dedicated to creation, project support, and workshop facilitation, nurturing a practice at the intersection of graphic design and illustration.
