The municipality of Saint-Pierre-en-Auge is proposing a unifying artistic project that involves the local inhabitants. Led by one or more professionals from the arts sector, this participatory approach is based on the history and heritage of the Abbey of Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, an emblematic site founded in the 11th century. The project focuses on the importance of tanneries in the local economy from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, as well as the work with linen, hemp, and dye plants. It aims to foster a dialogue between heritage, transmission, and contemporary creation. Local residents and associations contribute to the realization of a collective textile work, supported by the artists. The whole is then finalized through their artistic perspective before being presented to the public within the abbey. Practical information: All public Free Contact
