The Duke and the Poetess: When Lucie Delarue-Mardrus Tells the Story of Guillaume

An intimate and powerful rereading of the historical myth by one of Normandy's greatest writers

In conjunction with the publication in January 2027 of the biography William the Conqueror by Lucie Delarue-Mardrus, the 2, 3 Choses editions are creating a traveling exhibition dedicated to this illustrated work and its Norman author.

Two stages make up this journey: an initial exhibition from July 19 to 25, 2027, at the Regnéville-sur-Mer castle, in partnership with the Regnéville Maritime association, and a second one presented from July to September at the fortified castle of Pirou.

The exhibition highlights printed and cut panels, original illustrations, and educational texts retracing the life of William the Conqueror and the journey of Lucie Delarue-Mardrus. An evocation of the editorial work, through the presentation of the book's layout, complements the display.
The program is enriched with animation times featuring readings, signing sessions, and workshops led by Adélaïde Lebrun, the book's illustrator, offering insights into the creation process and the stakes of illustration.
