Emma of Normandy, the first crown, is the first part of a trilogy dedicated to this major historical figure, immersing the audience in the political intrigues of the 11th century. As England is shaken by Danish invasions, Emma, a young Norman princess, sees her life turn upside down. Married to Æthelred the Unready, she becomes queen consort and must navigate the complex alliances and fierce rivalries tearing the kingdom apart.

Between history and fiction, this play explores the torment of a woman trapped by events, confronted with both the violence of men and the limitations imposed on her power.
