Act 1

Emma of Normandy, the first crown, the first part of a trilogy dedicated to this major historical figure, immerses the viewer in the political intrigues of the 11th century. While England is shaken by Danish invasions, Emma, a young Norman princess, sees her life turned upside down. Married to Æthelred the Unready, she becomes queen consort and must navigate between complex alliances and ruthless rivalries that tear the kingdom apart.

Between history and fiction, this play explores the torments of a woman trapped by events, confronted both with the violence of men and the limits imposed on her power.
