Perspectives on the Norman Heritage

What if your perspective could help tell the story of the Normans?

The Alliance Française de Jersey and the Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche are launching a major participatory photography project and exhibition across several regions shaped by the Norman epic: from Normandy to the United Kingdom, via the Channel Islands, Southern Italy and Scandinavia.

Amateur and professional photographers alike are invited to capture the visible or symbolic traces of this unique heritage. Each photograph will be accompanied by a personal text, allowing participants to share their perspective and explain the connection between their subject and Norman history.

An exhibition featuring a selection of around thirty photographs will tour several partner cities across Europe in 2027.

Translations available in English, Italian, Danish and Norwegian.

Cooperation partners: France, Flanders, Southern Italy, the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey, Ireland, Norway and Denmark.

Partnerships: Alliance Française UK Network and the French Institute Network.
