The Feast of G...

16 May 2027

A culinary-theatrical epic for all audiences

The Feast of G... is an artistic and participatory project centered around culinary arts, Norman heritage, and cultural rights.

Its first part is a visual object theater play for all audiences, designed for public spaces and accessible without language barriers. Through the eyes of a cook and a chambermaid unwittingly caught up in the epic of William the Conqueror, the show humorously and poetically recounts the journeys, encounters, and exchanges that have shaped Normandy and Europe. It invites reflection on how cultures nourish one another and the richness represented by the multiple heritages of a territory.

The second part takes the form of participatory culinary workshops and shared banquets bringing together residents, farmers, producers, and local chefs. Cooking together becomes a concrete means of creating bonds, valuing know-how, and bringing forth common stories.

Finally, object theater workshops accompany the project to engage with the audiences encountered. Throughout its journey, The Feast of G... will also give birth to a multicultural recipe book, a living testimony of the encounters, influences, and culinary traditions collected across European territories.
