In the footsteps of William the Conqueror

from 29 May 2027

to 30 May 2027

A musical and historical journey through his life and work

The choir Résonance presents an original concert retracing the life and destiny of this major figure in Norman and European history.

Through a selection of contemporary songs juxtaposed with historical elements, this program invites the audience to rediscover the key stages of his journey: his childhood in Normandy, his rise to power, and his decisive role in history, particularly through the conquest of England.

The concert relies on both artistic and narrative approaches. The musical works, performed by the choir, are accompanied by a slideshow projected on a large screen, illustrating and enriching the message. This complementarity between music and images offers an accessible, lively, and immersive experience.

Designed to reach a wide audience, this project combines musical excellence and educational aspects. It aims to make history sensitive and contemporary, by creating bridges between the past and the present.

As part of the Millennium 2027 initiative, this concert aims to contribute to the promotion of Norman heritage and the transmission of a shared memory, through a unifying cultural moment.
