When the little hands of history speak

The Bayeux Tapestry tells the epic story of William the Conqueror's conquest, highlighting battles and victories. Yet in its margins, almost in silence, other lives are at work. It is in this discreet space that the show is born.

In the background of the great heroes, hands tirelessly work: they cut, build, dig, nourish, and repair. Cooks, earthworkers, carpenters, shipbuilders, and peasants do not conquer but make the conquest possible. Long absent from the narrative, they take the floor here to speak of the fatigue of bodies, the repetition of gestures, but also the dignity of work and the pride in fine craftsmanship.

Around them, a group of children observes this world in motion and questions what seems obvious: war, domination, the legacy left to future generations. Their voices traverse the centuries and open
