European and Port Noir Novel Festival
The Géos du Noir, a literary festival of European noir novels, invites both foreign and French authors on themes that spark debate across Europe. Each edition of the festival hosts several maritime or river ports in Europe, fostering reciprocal port connections.
From Gustave Flaubert to Annie Ernaux, from Maurice Leblanc to Michel Bussi, the intertwining of Normandy and its literature combines elements conducive to literary creation: the sea, the river, the land, the atmosphere, character, society... everything encourages writing and reading. Preferably Noir...
As part of Millenium, Géos du Noir 2027 brings together writers from all the regions that were part of the Norman domain at the height of its development: the British Isles, Nordic and Mediterranean territories.
The festival thus highlights authors representing the invited ports from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Italy.
This second edition will take place from February 5 to 7, 2027, in partner municipal libraries and at the Halle aux Toiles in Rouen. The festival includes author booths with meetings and signings, conferences and round tables, literary cafés, exhibitions, a bookstore area, and activities.
