Guillaume and the heirs of courage

Tribute to Guillaume and Mathilde

The harmony orchestras of the University (the COUR) and the Fraternelle of Caen are joining forces for an exceptional concert.

The orchestras and the hundred musicians who compose them will perform works that recount the journey of Guillaume the Conqueror and Mathilde of Flanders, as well as the great moments of Norman history. The Viking period and contemporary historical periods will be depicted in music.

Thierry Deleruyelle, a contemporary French composer, has created for this occasion an original piece which will be performed by Mike Cavanagh (UK), soloist of the world's best brass band.
