This lecture, organized as part of the Norwegian Season in the City of Rouen, sheds light on the close relationship between Norway and the city of Rouen.

It explores an essential component: education. Why Norwegian sections in France? Why a Norwegian section in Rouen? It was a French initiative in 1918. It stopped functioning in 1939 and resumed in 1950, at the initiative of Norway.

Speaker Nils Lindgren, former head of the Norwegian section, is accompanied by a few students who chose to pursue their secondary education there and who express their reasons for their choice.
