The horse in all its states or almost...
26 September 2027
Dive into the heart of the Middle Ages and explore the central role of the horse in medieval society: the equestrian show highlights its essential role in both European history and within the territory of the Community of Communes of Pays de L’Aigle.
The staging retraces the domestication of the horse, its importance in travel, trade, and great conquests, as well as its strategic role on the battlefields. It combines a recreation inspired by the Battle of Hastings with local historical references connected to this major event in Norman history. Professionals from the equestrian world, associations, organizations, and local residents combine their expertise to give rise to an ambitious collective creation.
This show is the highlight of the event day "The horse in all its states or almost...", which, for this edition, takes on a special dimension as part of Millenium.
Throughout the day, activities, producer and artisan markets, exhibitions, demonstrations, and shows shape the programming around the Middle Ages and the world of horses.
The entire event creates a festive and lively day, fueled by a strong historical heritage and a collective energy focused on transmission and sharing.
