Introduction to the Customs of Normandy

Inauguration of the Knights of Custom

During the European Heritage Days, introductory modules on the Custom of Normandy are offered throughout the weekend for young audiences.

Guided by Sophie Poirey, a lecturer in legal history at the University of Caen Normandy, students provide sessions to raise awareness of the principles of Custom.

At the end of this program, the children receive a diploma during a dedicated moment organized in the outdoor theater of the Manoir du Catel, under the cheers of the public.

A copy of the book The ABC of Custom, specially designed and printed as part of Millenium, is also handed to them.
