Introduction to Traditional Norman Games

Rediscovery of popular games once played in cafés and inns, where they punctuated moments of friendliness. Inherited from a living culture, these traditional pastimes held a central place in social interactions in the countryside and towns of Normandy.

A selection of simple and accessible practices allows us to explore this heritage passed down from generation to generation:

Bézette (dice game)

Close the Box (dice game)

Camembert Game (pucks slid on a board)

Chicken with dominoes

Gutter carombole

Pole quilles

Chance ball

Through these games, the association TEC NOR highlights a playful heritage often unknown but deeply rooted in regional culture. These practices encourage exchange, friendliness, and participation from everyone.
