Words of Normans

A literary journey takes shape in the ruins of the Jumièges Abbey, an emblematic place rich in history.

Authors from the United Kingdom, Ireland, southern Italy, Flanders, Norway, Denmark, and other European territories come together to highlight the challenges of the contemporary world through their writings.

The ambition: to create a dialogue between the diversity of narratives and perspectives from writers who shape the literary landscape in their countries. European languages with common roots, extensive discussions, literary banquets, and performances punctuate this significant event, designed as a space for exchange between literature, history, and creation.

A guest of honor accompanies the event: Ken Follett (subject to confirmation), a Franco-British author and major figure in historical fiction, whose work resonates with the setting and ambition of the project.
