In Montfort-sur-Risle, the medieval festivals organized by Montfort Culture and Heritage have been held for 22 editions and have become a much-anticipated event, attracting an audience from a wide area.
A castral village founded as early as the 11th century by the Montfort family, the commune retains in its topography traces of this medieval past, making it a particularly evocative setting.

On the occasion of the Millennium, Montfort-sur-Risle is one of the highlights of the program, with an exceptional edition of the medieval festival organized within the grounds of the 11th and 12th century castle.
