The medieval market offers a lively and animated immersion into the world of the Middle Ages, filled with the scents of spices, the sounds of the forge, and colorful stalls. Upon entering, a collection of tents and banners fluttering in the wind welcomes visitors. The merchants, in period costumes, present their goods with friendliness: rustic bread still warm, aged cheeses, meats roasted over wood fires, mead, and spiced wines. The stalls also offer a wide selection of handcrafted items: pottery, handmade jewelry, naturally dyed fabrics, as well as weapons and shields adorned with ancient patterns. At the heart of the market, traditional crafts are demonstrated live: the blacksmith works the glowing iron, the calligrapher creates illuminations, while the weaver works on his loom. Musicians, jugglers, and storytellers animate the aisles and offer moments of entertainment inspired by medieval tales. Activities complement the experience, with educational and fun activities surrounding the evolution of weaponry through different eras in the village's history. The troupe "Les Lames de Bizy" will perform on Saturday, May 22, and Sunday, May 23, 2027, featuring ten actors. A public "fencing show" is presented every afternoon, on Saturday and then again on Sunday. The "Kalon d’Arbalète" camp will set up during the two days, with interactive stands allowing visitors to learn while having fun and discover historical facts through exchanges with participants. Costumed parades are also planned for Saturday and Sunday mornings in the village of Pressagny-l’Orgueilleux, helping to animate the streets and enhance the immersive atmosphere of the event. Overall, it creates a festive and immersive atmosphere, blending discovery, tradition, and entertainment. The medieval market is experienced as a true sensory and historical adventure, inviting visitors to travel back in time during a stroll.
