The municipality of Bézu-Saint-Éloi celebrates the Millennium through a grand medieval festival.
This immersive and educational event, built with local associations and residents, promotes intergenerational meetings and highlights the living heritage of the territory. It is part of an effort to transmit Norman history, supported by a cultural program accessible for free.

On this occasion, a medieval village will be set up at the Jérémie Robert stadium. Designed to accommodate a large audience, it offers an immersion into daily life in the Middle Ages through reconstructions, activities, and an open stage.

The program includes:
- A scripted opening of the village on Saturday morning
- A large medieval encampment with workshops and demonstrations (cooking, fishing, herbalism…)
- The presence of a Hungarian medieval troupe
- An educational farm with animals and discussions about farming practices
- A scripted equestrian show with jousts and battles
- Medieval music and dance workshops
- Demonstrations of armored combat, with introductory sessions in light gear for children and adults
- An archery stand
- Activities for children (face painting, calligraphy, storytelling, crafting…)
- A medieval market featuring artisans and local producers
- A medieval costume contest (children and adults categories)
- Fire shows and parades

Horse-drawn carriage and horseback rides allow visitors to reach the Tower of the White Queen, another site of the Millennium, for guided tours and the Saturday evening banquet. There will also be food and beverage options available on site.

The event thus offers a comprehensive approach, blending historical discovery, cultural activities, and friendliness.
