Medieval William in Val ès Dunes

On the occasion of the Millennium, the Val ès Dunes Tourist Office is hosting a new edition of the medieval festival "Guillaume en Val ès Dunes".

This emblematic event takes us back to the year 1047 and showcases the victory of Guillaume, the future Conqueror, allied with King Henry I of France, against the rebel barons during the battle of Val ès Dunes.

This anniversary edition comes with an enriched program, featuring an evening concert and a large-scale reenactment of the battle involving several hundred participants. The entire event offers a spectacular immersion into Norman history and the major founding episodes of the duchy.
