For several years, the City of Falaise has organized Les Médiévales, a festive weekend dedicated to the discovery of the Middle Ages. Set in the heart of the city, especially around the castle of William the Conqueror, this event offers an immersive experience that is both playful and cultural through reenactment camps, street performances, activities, and a medieval market. The year 2027, marked by the Year of the Normans, features a highlight with the **reconstruction of emblematic events from Norman history, including the Battle of Hastings**. These staged scenes plunge visitors into the daily life of the 11th century while showcasing foundational episodes in both a spectacular and educational format. They are conducted in partnership with French and European reenactment companies, supported by a scientific committee ensuring historical accuracy. Through this millennium, Les Médiévales creates connections between territories marked by Norman heritage by inviting foreign companies, such as Italian flag throwers, who help to reveal other skills and traditions. The 2027 edition announces a renewed ambition with large-scale performances, driven by strong artistic demands, at the heart of particularly anticipated highlights. **Practical Information:** Open to all Paid: Les Médiévales de Falaise offers both paid and free areas.
