From the Viking Sea to William the Conqueror

Fécamp, in the prologue of "The Odyssey of the Normans," begins the maritime festivities by welcoming some of the ships already en route to Normandy and creating a Viking village for the occasion.

• Nautical objective with high-quality units of drakkar types and clinker-built constructions.
• Terrestrial objective: a living village, crafts, encampments, historical mediation, music, cuisine, scripted battles, and shipbuilding.
• Narrative thread: Scandinavians → birth of Normandy → Ducal Fécamp → William the Conqueror → crossing of the Channel.

This event is aimed at all audiences and schools after the weekend, with the remaining drakkars staying in the Bérigny basin before departing for Ornavik on June 11.
