Medieval Festival

The Association Lire et Loisirs au Plessis invites you to follow in the footsteps of William the Conqueror and Baron Grimoult, on the occasion of an event that recounts the story connecting them to the village of Le Plessis Grimoult, and to revive a past still visible through its remains and monuments.

For two days, the enclosure of the feudal motte and its paths will host camps, crafts, costumes, gastronomy, fun workshops, street arts, music, and guided walks for a lively immersion in the medieval era.

The tour also invites you to discover the riches of the town and its hamlets: the church of Saint-Étienne, the priory of Plessis, the fairground, the tithe barn, the leper hospital, the Roman camp, the black mud, as well as Mont Pinçon, the highest point in Calvados, and its stele commemorating the Liberation of 1944.

Local speakers will further enhance this historical journey by bringing the realities of the past to life.

Speakers: David Lecoeur, Yves Boulland, Philippe Bernouis.
