As a founding figure of Normandy, William the Conqueror left a lasting mark in the history of Domfront en Poiraie, a strategic town for his territorial defense.

On this occasion, a film cycle titled “The Screens of the Millennium” takes place at the municipal cinema.

In partnership with the Medieval Festival of Domfront, the Socio-Cultural Committee – Cinema Section – and the League of Education Normandy, Génériques, this project proposes to explore a past era through present forms of communication. Cinema thus becomes a vector of emotion and transmission, a meeting space where the built heritage of the town resonates with the visual narratives that shape the medieval imagination.

The program is organized around two complementary screenings to reach a diverse audience.

The first screening, aimed at a young audience, features the projection of an animated or adventure film addressing the legends and culture of the Middle Ages in an accessible and playful manner.

The second screening, open to all, highlights a film around medieval themes.

The titles of the scheduled films are yet to be determined.
