The Millennium Walk

from 17 September 2027

to 18 September 2027

The Millenium Stroll is a theatrical and musical journey, historical and poetic, linking Le Neubourg, Harcourt, and Le Bec-Helloin. Designed as a quest around the figure of William the Conqueror, it articulates narrative, imagination, and memory, between myth and reality, and opens up perspectives towards other cultural spaces.

The project comes in two complementary formats: an audio guide allowing for an autonomous stroll through three stages, and a stage format with a concert-show and in situ artistic interventions.
- The route explores medieval heritage through its visible dimensions (sites, landscapes, remains) and invisible dimensions (buried traces, stories, imaginaries), relying on historical research and local memory collecting. These materials nourish a writing that embraces a part of fiction to offer a sensitive and shared reading of the territory.
- The musical creation integrates the whole into an openness to other cultures and traditions, echoing different temporalities and geographies. It connects the Norman territory with multiple influences in a disjointed artistic approach.
