North Wind - Opéra Orchestre Normandie Rouen

20 November 2026

Nielsen, Grieg - Antony Hermus & Lise de la Salle

The vital impulse, the Scandinavian soul, and the flair of Lise de la Salle surge through the bubbling waters of this program presented by the Orchestre de l'Opéra Normandie Rouen and illuminated by the video projections of Claudia Fuggetti.

The Piano Concerto by Edvard Grieg is an epic journey through the fjords of Norway, a powerful evocation of the yawning chasms that nature digs within us. To fill them, the breath of the symphony known as the "Inextinguishable" by Carl Nielsen expresses the "most primitive sources of life flow," in the words of its author.

The creative power is honored in this evening, with projections from the artist Claudia Fuggetti who, like the composers of this program, invents new landscapes for a sensitive geography, a bridge between dream and reality.
